How to Make Your Own DIY Yoga Mat Cleaner

You may use the same amount of white vinegar, distilled water, and dish soap that are listed in the recipe. If you wish to make smaller amounts, use a spray bottle.

Make sure your yoga mat is clean. Wash your yoga mat with soap and water. Let the water drip off of the mat for a few minutes so that it will be clean enough to use for yoga practice.

Mix one cup of distilled white vinegar, 1/2 cup distilled water, and 10 drops of lavender essential oil in a spray bottle.

Shake to combine ingredients well. (Do not shake any longer than needed or the mixture will separate. If the mixture separates, just shake well before using.)

Spray the mixture on your yoga mat. Use several sprays throughout the entire length of the mat. Allow to air dry as usual. (You can speed up the drying by using a fan or blow dryer set on low.)

Store in an airtight container. The vinegar and water mixture will last for months, while the essential oil will last indefinitely.
