The University of Worcester in the United Kingdom was established in the year 1948 as Worcester Emergency Teacher Training College. And this university was renamed in 1976, From Worcester Emergency Teacher Training College to Worcester College of Higher Education. The institution got the status of a university in the year 2005 and after that again renamed in 2005, from Worcester College of Higher Education to its present name University of Worcester. The University of Worcester was given the power of awarding research degrees by the HM Privy Council in 2010.
