Brief of University of Worcester
The University of Worcester in the United Kingdom was established in the year 1948 as Worcester Emergency Teacher Training College. And this university was renamed in 1976, From Worcester Emergency Teacher Training College to Worcester College of Higher Education. The institution got the status of a university in the year 2005 and after that again renamed in 2005, from Worcester College of Higher Education to its present name University of Worcester. The University of Worcester was given the power of awarding research degrees by the HM Privy Council in 2010.
The UW has four sprawling campuses scattered across Worcester in the UK. St John’s Campus is the site of the university’s establishment and houses several residence corridors, teaching and sports services, spaces, and facilities. The ground is home to the University’s National Pollen, Aerobiology Research center, and Worcester Students’ Union. It also includes different facilities or services like Drama Studio Digital Arts Centre, a multigym, a sports hall, and AstroTurf pitches. Placed at Worcester City Centre, the university’s City Campus houses the McClelland Health and Wellbeing hub, Worcester Business School, Jenny Lind building, and the Hive library. Located along a riverbank, the university’s Severn Campus kinds modern study services, dance studios, performance analysis suites, and the University’s Arena. The Lakeside Campus serves as action and outdoor learning unit.
Consisting of nine academic schools, the University of Worcester provides several full-time and part-time UG and PG courses in different sectors of education like environment, arts, sciences, humanities, nursing, psychology, allied health, education, sports business, law, maths, and media.
