A WELL-TREATED TWEEZER WILL LAST A LIFETIME
Finding a good pair of tweezers that are not only functional but also of high quality may be challenging. Invest in the right, high quality tweezers so that they last you a lifetime, but in order to get the most use out of your investment, you need to take care of your tweezers after each usage. You need to invest your time and effort into something to make it last longer. There are a few simple steps you can take to ensure that your tweezers remain in excellent condition. When purchasing tweezers of an heirloom-quality, we suggest that you follow the six procedures outlined below. If you practice all of them regularly, you won’t ever have to buy another pair again.
REMOVE EXCESS GLUE
You probably don’t even realize how much residue is left behind after applying those false eyelashes. It is imperative that any remnants of adhesive be removed from the tweezers before they are sterilized. To do this, please ensure that your tweezers have been well cleaned with soap and warm water. After they have been allowed to dry, remove the sticky glue areas by rubbing acetone onto a cotton swab. Your tweezers will be ready for the subsequent step when this has been completed.
- SANITIZE
Around your eyes and face is not the place to utilize tweezers that have been used elsewhere. Sanitizing your tweezers is necessary if you want to maintain them in pristine condition. After each usage, clean them by wiping them down with rubbing alcohol using a fresh cotton ball or towel. Because of this, they will remain clean, and you won’t have to worry about germs being transferred to your skin the next time you use them. Treat the tweezers with care to maintain your hygiene.
- WASH AND DRY PROPERLY
Since the tweezer still has a significant amount of chemical on it, you should avoid making direct contact between your face and the tweezer. It is strongly suggested that you give your tweezers one more cleaning with soap and warm water. This protects against chemical corrosion that may be caused by the disinfecting chemicals.
- USE THEM FOR TWEEZING ONLY
It could be tempting to use your extra-sharp tweezers to pull the seal off of other cosmetic items or to yank a sticker off of a new purchase, but you shouldn’t do either of those things! If you use cosmetic tweezers for anything other than personal grooming, you run the risk of damaging the tips or alignment of the tweezers, which will prevent them from functioning effectively in the future.
- KEEP THE RUBBER TIP ON
If you haven’t purchased a set of tweezers that come with a rubber cap, it should be rather obvious why your current pair keeps breaking. The majority of tweezers come with a rubber cover that may be used to protect the tips of the tweezers. This cap is to be kept on your tweezers at all times, even when they are not in use. If you happen to drop your tweezers by mistake or if they are sliding about in a drawer, the rubber tip will prevent them from being damaged.
- USE A LIGHT TOUCH
The majority of people are unaware of the importance of handling their tweezers with care. As you are working with a challenging strand of hair, you may feel tempted to pull with all your strength while pressing the tweezers together, but this can damage your new pair of tweezers. Tweeze with very light pressure when you are doing so.
- STORE THEM ACCURATELY
The most important aspect is to keep your tweezers in a secure and sanitary location. Remove the tweezers from your cosmetic bag, where they are prone to become scratched and dull. Keep your tweezers in a glass on your counter top with the edge facing up so they don’t get ruined or keep a plastic tip on them if you choose to put them in a travelling bag so you can groom on the move. You can also put them in a pouch or other padded bag so that they stay properly protected.
It’s incredibly hard to get your hands on an excellent set of tweezers, but once you do. Follow these basic steps to ensure your favorite pair lasts you a life time.
